A day in the lab

Thursday, assay development.

  1. Cells out of the incubator. Count them twice; the second count is the one that goes in the notebook.

  2. Plate the dilution series. Ten columns, eight rows, two plates in case one is dropped.

  3. Design review with chemistry. Three new relatives of OVT-402 to test next week.

  4. Lunch away from the bench. Nobody eats in the lab, ever.

  5. Read the plates. One curve looks too good. Repeat it before anyone sees it.

  6. Write up. If it is not in the notebook, it did not happen.
